What Is Marine Engine Oil? Benefits of Marine Engine Oils

Opet Marine Engine Oils offer extended oil drain intervals by slowing oil aging through their excellent oxidation and thermal stability. Their advanced detergent and dispersant additives help control soot and deposit formation, keeping engines and lubrication systems clean while reducing maintenance costs.

Marine lubricants must also provide superior corrosion protection due to the humid and saline operating conditions encountered at sea. Thanks to their high-performance antioxidant additive technology, Opet Marine Engine Oils provide maximum protection against corrosion, helping to extend engine service life.

Features of Opet Marine Engine Oils

Fullmoto 4T Outboard FC-W 25W-50 is a synthetic-based marine engine oil formulated to meet the lubrication requirements of four-stroke outboard engines approved under the National Marine Manufacturers Association (NMMA) FC-W specification. It provides excellent protection against start-up wear at both low and high temperatures. Its superior corrosion resistance ensures long-lasting protection even during intermittent or seasonal use.

Approval: NMMA FC-W

Marine C 50/70 is a marine diesel cylinder oil specially formulated for the cylinder lubrication of low-speed, two-stroke crosshead marine diesel engines operating on fuels containing 2.5% to 4.0% sulfur. Its high Total Base Number (TBN) effectively neutralizes the acidic conditions caused by high-sulfur residual fuels, providing outstanding protection against corrosion, wear and deposit formation. As a result, it is particularly suitable for applications using high-sulfur heavy fuel oils.

Marine D Series consists of marine diesel engine oils formulated with premium-quality base oils and advanced additive technology for medium- and high-speed trunk piston marine diesel engines. These oils may also be used in stern tubes and deck equipment when recommended by the equipment manufacturer.

The Marine D Series offers five products across two viscosity grades to meet a wide range of marine lubrication requirements:

MARINE D 30/12 (SAE 30)

MARINE D 30/15 (SAE 30)

MARINE D 40/12 (SAE 40)

MARINE D 40/15 (SAE 40)

MARINE D 40/20 (SAE 40)

Performance Level: API CF

Marine DT Series consists of marine diesel engine oils formulated for medium-speed trunk piston marine diesel engines operating on heavy fuels containing less than 3% sulfur. Its advanced anti-wear additive system provides effective protection for heavily loaded bearings and engine components.

The series is available in two viscosity grades to address different operating requirements:

MARINE DT 30/30 (SAE 30)

MARINE D 40/30 (SAE 40)

Performance Level: API CF

Marine DX 40/40 is a marine diesel engine oil formulated with premium base oils and advanced additive technology for medium-speed trunk piston marine diesel engines operating on heavy fuels containing 2.5% to 4.0% sulfur. Its specially developed additive package delivers extended oil life, excellent resistance to sludge formation, effective wear protection and outstanding engine cleanliness.

Performance Level: API CF

Marine S 30/6 is a marine diesel engine oil formulated with high-quality base oils and advanced additive technology for low-speed crosshead marine diesel engines. Its anti-wear additive package provides effective protection for heavily loaded bearings and critical engine components, ensuring reliable engine operation and long service life.
