Greases

Grease, as defined by ASTM D 288, is a solid or semi-fluid lubricant produced by combining a base oil with a thickening agent. By incorporating specialized additives, grease can be tailored to meet the requirements of a wide variety of applications. The structure of grease can be compared to a sponge, where the internal spaces are filled with oil. Under demanding operating conditions, this oil is gradually released, providing long-lasting lubrication.

In addition to lubrication, greases perform several other critical functions, including protection against wear, sealing, oxidation prevention, protection of seals, reduction of noise and vibration, and minimization of leakage.

When deciding whether to use grease or lubricating oil, the application requirements and operating environment should always be taken into consideration.

Features of Opet Greases

Opet ARGA products are high-performance greases designed to improve component cleanliness, extend service life and support efficient operation of mechanical systems. ARGA B Series

ARGA B Series is a high-performance lithium-based grease range developed for general automotive applications operating at temperatures between -20°C and 120°C. It is suitable for medium- and high-speed bearings that are not subjected to heavy loads.

ARGA B greases are easily pumpable under cold-weather conditions and provide excellent performance in applications where Extreme Pressure (EP) additives are not required.

The series is available in two NLGI grades:

ARGA B 2 (NLGI Grade 2)

ARGA B 3 (NLGI Grade 3)

ARGA COMPLEX 2

ARGA COMPLEX 2 is formulated with high-quality base oils and a lithium complex soap thickener, combined with specially developed oxidation inhibitors, corrosion and rust inhibitors, Extreme Pressure (EP) additives and Anti-Wear (AW) additives.

Thanks to its lithium complex structure, it offers outstanding mechanical stability and can be used across a wide temperature range, particularly in high-temperature and heavily loaded applications.

Its excellent mechanical stability enhances performance in vibrating bearings and helps extend lubrication intervals.

ARGA RUBBER GREASE

ARGA RUBBER GREASE is a green-colored grease formulated with high-quality base oils, calcium soap and special cohesion-enhancing components. It is suitable for low-speed plain bearings operating at temperatures up to 70°C and for automotive chassis lubrication applications.

ARGA SUPER EP 00

ARGA SUPER EP 00 is a semi-fluid lithium soap grease formulated with specially developed Anti-Wear (AW) additives. It is designed for use in bearings, plain bearings, centralized lubrication systems and heavily loaded applications operating at temperatures up to 120°C.

ARGA SUPER EP Series

ARGA SUPER EP Series consists of lithium soap greases formulated with premium base oils and specially developed additives. The series is recommended for plain and rolling bearings used in automotive applications operating between -20°C and 120°C and is particularly suitable for heavily loaded systems.

ARGA SUPER EPX 2

ARGA SUPER EPX 2 is a premium lithium soap grease formulated with molybdenum disulfide (MoS₂) for multipurpose lubrication applications. It is suitable for low-speed, heavily loaded and shock-loaded systems used in construction equipment, passenger cars, light commercial vehicles and heavy-duty vehicles, as well as general lubrication applications in construction machinery.

Its Extreme Pressure (EP) additive technology provides excellent load-carrying capability and outstanding wear protection.

Thanks to its low leakage tendency, excellent water washout resistance and outstanding oxidation stability, it delivers reliable performance even under severe operating conditions.

ARGA SUPER EPX 2 is particularly recommended for the lubrication of cams, slides and other moving machine parts that operate under vibration, shock loading, restricted movement or extended lubrication intervals.
